Engine design and development engineer
The role
IDEM's R&D unit is hiring a design engineer for parts localisation and for upgrading the OM 457 and OM 355 engines to Euro 5 EEV.
- 3D design and modelling of engine parts, and production drawings
- Stress and thermal analysis with finite-element software
- Defining and analysing tests with the engine test laboratory
- Technical documentation and engineering change reports
Requirements
- Fluent in CATIA or SolidWorks, familiar with ANSYS
- Understanding of diesel engines and common-rail fuel injection
- Able to read technical English; German is a plus
- Completed or permanently exempt from military service (men)
