On Thursday, the ninth of Aban, the Honorable Vice Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly and Honorable Representative of the noble people of Tabriz, Osku and Azarshahr, Dr. Pezeshkian, at the invitation of the board members and the new CEO of IDEM Company, paid a visit to the production and assembly lines of heavy diesel engines and gasoline car engines, the engine test cells, the precision measurement rooms and the exhibition of the company's products, and met and talked with the honorable managers and staff of the complex.
During this visit, Dr. Rostamnezhad, the Honorable CEO of the company, presented a report to the Honorable Vice Speaker of the Assembly on the projects underway for the production and assembly of engines complying with up-to-date environmental standards and the numerous issues and problems that IDEM Company, the only manufacturer of Daimler-Benz diesel engines in the Middle East, faces and which have led to a reduction in the production capacity of its lines.
Dr. Pezeshkian also, emphasizing the necessity of greater efforts toward development and self-sufficiency and raising the level of local content of parts and assemblies of the manufactured products and reaching the desired level of production in accordance with the nominal capacities of this complex, announced his firm support at all stages of overcoming the problems facing the company's activity and increasing production, and noted that he would spare no assistance in this path; subsequently he ordered that in the coming weeks joint meetings be held with the banks, companies and relevant organizations that are effective in resolving the company's problems, and that he would attend these meetings and follow up on resolving the matters.
